- You have to choose a niche
- You need to research the competition and figure out if there is still room in that niche
- You have to nail down your target audience: Who is your blog for?
- You have to figure out how you are going to promote your brand new blog
- If you want to turn your blog into a business you have to have an idea about how you want to make money with your blog.
And these are only the things you have to consider before you even have a blog. The list of things you have to do goes on: You have to choose hosting and a Theme. You have to start your email list, decide on an email marketing tool, figure out how to generate subscribers – and then you will be ready for your first blog post.
But your job is not done yet – not even close. Because now, you need to find a blogging routine consisting of blog promotion, research, setting up and watching your analytics, optimization, and last but not least you have to make some money.
Did I scare you away, yet? I hope not!
